We are proud to be an independent brand designed with love in Hawai‘i and made ethically in our other island home, Bali. It is important for us to remain true to the design process to create thoughtful, original pieces of quality. When you purchase a THOSE SEEN DANCING® piece, you’re getting hundreds of hours of creation, experimentation, and collaboration with expert makers from Hawai‘i, Bali, and around the globe.

We are committed to fair wages and healthy working conditions at every level, and only partner with organizations that share our values. From our makers to our models, we stand for safe and respectful environments, with a zero-tolerance policy for racism, discrimination, and any form of harassment or abuse.

Sustainability

Sustainability has been rooted in our brand from inception, and we believe that environmental and social responsibility should be universal across all industries. As a brand, we aim to create swimwear that doesn’t compromise the planet or the communities we touch.

Fashion is one of our most personal forms of self-expression, yet the industry's impact on the Earth and her inhabitants contradicts our vision for a sustainable future. While using recycled and sustainable materials is a great start, we take it further by considering the entire lifecycle of our products—how they’re made, where the energy to create them comes from, who is making them, and whether the organizations involved are locally or foreign-owned. We work exclusively with reputable, small, locally-owned factories to ensure ethical production at every stage.

For every item purchased, we plant one tree, giving back to the planet that inspires us. We use minimal, reusable packaging to reduce unnecessary waste, and are committed to eliminating single-use plastics from our supply chain.
